Three Bells of Fira is an iconic landmark located in the center of the Greek city of Fira. The structure stands proudly on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the ancient capital and the beautiful Aegean Sea. The monument is made up of three aged bells which hang from a white stucco wall, standing as a welcome to visitors of the city below. According to local legend, the Three Bells of Fira were once used to create the city’s distinctive ringed character. The bells were a part of its unique tradition until the 18th-century when the structure was restored in its original form. Today, visitors can go to Three Bells of Fira and enjoy the majestic view of the city, the harbor and the caldera. The memorial is open to visitors of all ages. Tours run throughout the year, offering a unique insight into the culture and history of the area.
