Thorncrown Chapel is a beautiful, rustic chapel located in the forest of Eureka Springs, United States. Built in 1980 by architect E. Fay Jones and designer Charles F. Boothe, it is considered to be an iconic embodiment of "organic architecture", blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Constructed primarily of wood and native stone, the chapel rises up 48 feet with 425 windows and 76 skylights, allowing natural light inside the chapel, creating a heavenly atmosphere. It has become a popular site for weddings and visitors can observe the beautiful stained glass artwork on the walls and the soaring ceiling, making it a truly majestic mid-20thcentury architectural piece blending nature, technology and art.
