THIS IS HOLLAND is an immersive flight-simulation attraction in Amsterdam-Noord, part of the modern Overhoeks district across the IJ from Central Station. Its main experience suspends visitors before a large curved screen for an aerial journey over Dutch cities, polders, coastlines and waterways, enhanced by motion, wind and mist. The name uses “Holland” in its familiar international sense, while the presentation covers the wider Netherlands and highlights how water management has shaped the country. Outside, the circular building belongs to a distinctive waterfront cluster with the angular Eye Filmmuseum and A’DAM Tower, creating strong architectural contrasts and broad skyline views across the IJ.
