Þingmannaá Waterfall is the cascade on the Þingmannaá river just outside the small settlement of Flókalundur in Iceland. The name itself contains "þing" (assembly), a common element in Icelandic toponyms that hints at medieval local meeting places, embedding the fall in a landscape shaped by human as well as natural history. Visually, the water cuts bright, moving white against dark coastal rock and low, scrubby moorland; the scale is modest rather than towering, so foreground textures of lichen, peat and stream-worn stones are important compositional elements. Flow and drama peak with spring snowmelt, while lower summer levels reveal more of the channel. A short shoreward approach is typical for viewing; respect private land and grazing areas when framing shots.
