The Thean Hou Temple, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is a large Chinese temple complex dedicated to the Goddess of Heaven (Thean Hou). It is one of the most important places of worship for the Chinese and for other ethnic groups in Malaysia. The temple features three main sections, showcasing traditional Chinese architecture, with ‘Ying’ and ‘Yang’ roofs, statues of Chinese and other gods, stupas, and ethnic group sculptures. Inside, you will find numerous halls and courtyards where religious activities take place. Outside, a 12.8 m tall statue of Thean Hou stands against the sky. The temple is a popular pilgrimage site and can be accessed easily by public transport. Visitors can explore the grounds and take in the many religious artifacts and architectural features. The nearby souvenir shops provide a great opportunity to pick up some souvenirs and trinkets. Overall, this stunning temple complex is definitely worth a visit!
