📍 India
The World Towers is a luxury residential development in Lower Parel, part of Mumbai’s former textile-mill belt. Its three towers—World One, World View and World Crest—occupy the former Shrinivas Mills site, connecting the city’s industrial past with its transformation into a high-rise residential district. Designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, the complex is recognizable for its curved façades and closely stacked balcony bands, which give the buildings a layered, sculptural appearance. Seen from the surrounding streets, these horizontal rhythms emphasize the towers’ scale above the older, lower-rise urban fabric, making the contrast between different eras of Mumbai especially visible.
