The Long Room Library at Trinity College Dublin is a sight to behold. Filled with 200,000 of the oldest books in Ireland and the United Kingdom, it is a truly magical place. The library was designed by architect sir Christopher Wren in the 18th century and consists of marble busts of the likes of Homer and Plato. Visitors to the Long Room can take in the warmth of old oak and ancient tomes, allowing for an unforgettable experience. While photography is not permitted in the library, exploring the long aisles and thousands of books is an inspiring and fascinating experience. Like much of Dublin, the atmosphere of the Long Room Library is steeped in history and atmosphere.
