
The Goddess of Victory and Luitpoldbrücke is an iconic memorial and bridge located in Munich, Germany. The Goddess of Victory is a bronze statue placed atop a column that is about 25 meters tall. It was originally made for King Ludwig I to commemorate the victory of the Bavarian army during the Franco-Prussian War. It stands associated with the Luitpoldbrücke which is a bridge that passes over the Isar River. The Luitpoldbrücke was used as a ceremonial entrance to Munich since 1904 and is also a popular spot among pre-wedding photographers.
