The Cheesewring is an iconic rocky outcrop located on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, England. Accessible via a gentle, grassy footpath from East Hill near Minions, this distinctive formation is thought to have been built by engineers in the Bronze Age. Composed of large granite boulders arranged in a flat circle on one larger rock, the boulders are said to have been thrown by the giant Bolster when trying to control an unruly moor horse. On a clear day, the panoramic views across Bodmin Moor and the wider Cornish countryside make the effort to get there worthwhile. The Cheesewring is a popular destination, both for walkers and photographers wanting to capture its unique shape.
