Templo del Agua is a ceremonial hydraulic structure in the lower sector of the Ollantaytambo archaeological complex, beneath the monumental terraces that rise above the town. It reflects the Inca integration of engineering and ritual: precisely cut stone channels guide a continuous flow of water through architecture shaped for both function and symbolic meaning. Close views reveal the contrast between smooth masonry, angular channels, weathered rock and moving water, while wider compositions can place the structure against the steep terraced slopes. As part of an archaeological site, it should be viewed from designated visitor paths and treated with the same respect as the surrounding ceremonial remains.
