The Temple of Heaven, located in Beijing's Dong Cheng Qu district, is a renowned complex of religious buildings. It is deemed a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design. It was built in the 15th century and served as the main site where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would conduct annual sacrifices to their gods. The complex consists of many buildings, including the Circular Mound Altar and the Imperial Vault of Heaven, both of which have served as the settings of multiple Chinese films and television shows. There is a park around the complex, and the famous Echo Wall can be found there. Visitors can take part in the traditional activities such as tai chi during their time in the park. There are several other attractions worth visiting as part of a tour of the Temple of Heaven.
