📍 From Punta di Treggiano, Italy
Tellaro, Italy is a small and picturesque fishing village located in the region of Liguria. Nestled between the popular tourist destinations of the Cinque Terre and La Spezia, Tellaro stands out amongst the stunning coastal towns of Liguria. With cobblestone streets, traditional fishermen's houses painted pastel shades of pink, ochre and green, Tellaro is said to be the inspiration behind Italo Calvino’s 1979 novel, The Baron in the Trees. Not far from the shore of Tellaro, is the promontory of Punta di Treggiano, the only one of its kind on the Ligurian coast. Here the views from the cliffs above the sea offer a unique perspective of the coast and, in clear weather, even encompass the islands of Gorgona, Capraia and Elba.
