The Tanzanite Bridge is located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and is one of the most iconic spots in the city. This stylish footbridge was completed in 2007 and links Julius Nyerere International Airport to the city centre. The bridge is made up of four white cantilever steel arches, creating an impressive visual effect. At the centre of the bridge is a 25-metre tall sculpture, made of steel and rhinoceros horn. This giant neon symbol is illuminated at night and has become a distinctive feature of the Dar es Salaam skyline.
