📍 From Elephant Mountain, Taiwan
Taipei 101 is a landmark skyscraper in the Xinyi District of Taiwan, located at the intersection of the Xinyi and Keelung Roads. Built in 2004, it has been the tallest building in the world for 7 years (2004-2010). Its design consists of 8 cylindrical sections, from a base shaped as 8, gradually tapering to a narrow point at the tip and a spire, creating a symbolic image of Taiwan in the shape of a big bamboo stalk. The building is surrounded by a large park, and the Observatory atop it provides a 360-degree view of Taipei and its surroundings. Elephant Mountain (八仙山) is a popular hiking spot and photogenic spot, situated next to the Taipei 101. From its summit, visitors can have a panoramic view of the city and its lush forested valleys. This is a great spot to experience local culture, take pictures of the surrounding cityscape, and also take a selfie with the iconic iconic Taipei skyline in the background.
