📍 United States
The Tacoma Narrows Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the Puget Sound in Pierce County, United States. Constructed in 1940, the bridge has a total span of 8,541 feet, connecting Tacoma to the Kitsap Peninsula. It is one of the longest suspension bridges in the United States and was the third longest when it was opened. The bridge has a main span of 2,800 feet and two side spans of 1,650 feet each. The bridge is towered by two black and white checkered arches that are an iconic symbol of the city. The bridge is one of the most photographed bridges in the world and a visit to the area is not complete without a photo of it. If you are looking for a unique view, head to Titlow Hill, a historical viewpoint, for a breathtaking view of both spans of the bridge. The bridge is a must-see for locals and visitors alike.
