Szent István Bazilika is one of Budapest's most beautiful and impressive churches named after the first king of Hungary, St. Stephen I. Founded in the late 19th century, the neo-classical style basilica features a whopping 300 metre long aisle and a majestic cupola. It is accompanied by two bell towers that stand 75 metres tall, giving visitors a stunning view from the top.

The basilica is also home to several beautiful works of art and sculptures. Its interior is filled with ornate marble altars, frescoes, stained glass windows, statues and stone carvings. The main attraction is a remarkable ceiling fresco of Biblical scenes, which was created by Károly Lotz and recognized as a masterpiece of religious art.
