📍 From Beach, United States
Sycamore Cove Beach is the last beach accessible by car that borders Malibu, California and is one of the most untouched and secluded beaches in the area. Located five minutes south of Point Mugu State Park, this long sandy beach is perfect for swimming and surfing, with relatively low ocean and surf conditions throughout the year. This beach is sometimes called Pirate's Cove due to a legendary swashbuckler, who is said to have buried his treasure in the cliffs. For wildlife viewing, the beach is known for its many seabirds, such as the Brown Pelican and Heermann’s Gull. Visitors can explore tidepools, spot whales during their migrations, or even come across an occasional California sea lion. Dogs are allowed on-leash and the commanding views of the islands and shorelines from the cliffs make Sycamore Cove beach an ideal destination for outdoor photographers.
