Sutera and Santuario Diocesano San Paolino in Sutera, Italy is a must stop for Catholic travelers. The sanctuary, built in the 16th century, is dedicated to the patron saint of Sutera, San Paolino. Its Baroque facade is adorned with two bronze doors, above which stands the statue of San Paolino as a pilgrim. Inside, the sanctuary is filled with ornately decorated naves, sepulchres and sacred art pieces, including a crucifix from 1740. There is also a chapel dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, with beautiful frescoes. Numerous important events, such as the Good Friday procession and the Patron Saint’s Day are annually celebrated here.
