📍 From Curonian Spit National Park, Lithuania
One of Europe's most fascinating regions, the Curonian Spit National Park, located in the Nida municipality of Lithuania, is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Established in 2000, the national park covers 97 km of wild beach and sand dunes that stretch 62 km from Nida to the Kaliningrad region of Russia. It is the only place in the world where the unique species of arthropods, anemones, mosses, and lichens that inhabit the dunes can be found. Visitors can explore the park's stunning landscapes and impressive sand dunes, over 60 meters high, and soak in the beautiful panoramic view of the Baltic Sea. The park is home to the eerie Sun Dial, an old folkloric landmark which features 12 oak posts placed in a circle. Tourists can also indulge in bird watching, swimming, boating, fishing, and camping activities.
