Suitengu Shrine is one of Tokyo's best-kept secrets. This small shrine was built in 1662 and is located in the heart of Chuo City. The shrine is accessible on foot from Nihonbashi and near Kinshicho Station. Despite its modest size and small entrance, the grounds are beautifully-kept and offer an impressive view of Tokyo from the terrace of the main hall. Inside the shrine are various items of historical note, including an amazing timepiece from the Edo period. The shrine also has a lively market on the 7th of every month, where visitors can purchase food and interesting items.
