The building has a distinctively Neo-Renaissance façade, consisting of two stories with a central avant-corps, flanked by two symmetrical wings. The façade is decorated with white, grey and yellow stone, crowned by two towers, each topped with a gilded cupola. Inside, the building houses a local history museum, the National Theatre and several other institutions. Just recently, a new fountain was added to the Town Hall's outdoor area. Alluring and that adds to the beauty of the building, it boasts a massive structure in the middle, crowned by four bronze statues representing the four rivers of the city, with colorful water jets and lit in the evening hours.
