The Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Zgorzelec, Poland is an exceptional example of the Gothic and Baroque architecture which has withstood the test of time. The church building was constructed in the late 12th century and modified until the 16th century. The interior of the building is illuminated by a mixture of stained glass windows from the 16th–17th centuries. The high altar of the church dates back to 16th century, and the side altars from the 18th century. There are countless pieces of artwork to explore, such as the baroque and Gothic sculptures and colourful frescoes. In the crypt of the church, visitors can find a collection of sculptures from the 19th century. The church's bell tower, from the 17th century, can be seen from the nearby town square. Sts.
