📍 United Kingdom
Brighton’s street art is especially visible around North Laine, where murals, painted shutters and stencil works sit alongside independent shops, pubs and music venues. The artwork reflects the city’s strong alternative arts culture, turning everyday façades and side streets into part of its visual identity. On Trafalgar Street, the Prince Albert pub is a recognizable landmark, with portraits of musicians covering its exterior and a reproduction of Banksy’s Kissing Coppers; the original work was removed from the wall. Around the neighborhood, broad blocks of color contrast with weathered brickwork, while doors, windows and drainpipes give the paintings a distinctly street-level scale. Wide views show how the art inhabits the streetscape, rather than existing as isolated images.
