📍 Germany
Street art in Prenzlauer Berg sits among the Berlin neighborhood’s late-19th-century apartment buildings, with layers of tags, stencils and paste-ups visible on walls and shutters around Mauerpark and nearby streets. Once part of East Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg changed markedly after reunification; these shifting images offer a rough-edged contrast to its restored façades and café-lined streets. Mauerpark occupies part of the former Berlin Wall border strip, giving the painted surfaces around it a setting shaped by the city’s history.
