Campo Grande is a city located in the western Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul and is known for its wide variety of attractions. The city centre is filled with restaurants, cafes and pubs that cater to both locals and tourists alike. There are several interesting architectural sites in the city, including the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres, a 17th-century church, the 19th-century Poço Azul and the Parque das Nações Indígenas. Other attractions in Campo Grande include numerous shopping malls and street markets which sell traditional products in addition to far-reaching modern stores. Visitors should also be sure to explore one of the nearby parks, including Parque das Nações, Parque da Maternidade and the famed Eco Parque. Adventure seekers must explore the breathtakingly beautiful Pantanal, the world’s largest wetland, located simply outside the city limits.
