Dijon’s street art is scattered across the Burgundian capital, appearing on walls, shutters and other urban surfaces beyond—and occasionally within—the preserved historic center. Murals, stencils, paste-ups and tags create a contemporary counterpoint to the city’s pale limestone façades, medieval lanes and distinctive glazed-tile roofs. For photography, the strongest scenes often come from this contrast: vivid color against weathered masonry, artwork framed by narrow streets, or layered pieces that reveal how the city’s visual culture changes over time. Unlike Dijon’s formal monuments, these works are temporary, so individual images may be altered, covered or replaced.
