Strasbourg's Buildings and Quai des Bateliers is the perfect place to explore while visiting Strasbourg in France. The Grand'Ile is a historic district and is the largest island in the city which is crisscrossed with cobbled streets, rivers, canals and quays. Quai des Bateliers is located at the east end of the island and is lined with colorful timber-framed houses that have been carefully preserved. The area used to be a working-class residential area, but it is now a charming tourist stop. You can watch boats cruising along the waterways, or take a leisurely stroll through the area. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from, so it's the perfect place to kick back and enjoy the views. You can also find many galleries showcasing local and international art.
