Strand Højbjerg is an idyllic white sand beach located in the suburbs of Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark. With its shallow shoreline, it is perfect for a family outing by the sea. The beach is known for its eclectic activities from windsurfing and yachting to Frisbee and picnicking. At low tides, the beach is also a great place to explore the rocky intertidal flat. It is recommended to dress appropriately and wear sun protection and water shoes as the beach is known for its slippery surfaces. A little bit further south, Strand Højbjerg also has a nice view of the old Aarhus castle from the water.
