Storkyrkan, also known as the Great Church, is a medieval Lutheran church and the oldest documented building in Stockholm. Located on the island of Södermalm in Stockholm, it was built between 1280 and 1401, making it one of Europe's oldest churches. It is the site of Stockholm's coronation ceremonies, weddings, and funerals, and is a popular tourist attraction. Inside the church are 15th century frescos that depict scenes from the old and new testaments, ornate chandeliers, and beautiful stained-glass windows. It is also home to Johann Sebastian Bach's largest organ. Guided tours are available throughout the year, giving visitors an opportunity to learn more about the history of the church and explore its many beautiful features.
