Stonehenge is a prehistoric site located just outside Salisbury, England. It is composed of large stones arranged in a circular form and thought to have been built between 3000 and 1500 BC. It is a World Heritage Site, and holds a deep spiritual significance for many. Visitors can admire the mysterious stones from the nearby car park, and walk around the circumference of the monument as well as explore an interpretation centre situated nearby. While visitors are not allowed to touch the stones, the Salisbury Plain offers some scenic and historic walks. Visiting Stonehenge is exceptionally peaceful, and it is an awe-inspiring experience that one will never forget.

Park at Woodhenge and walk the mile or so to Stonehenge. It's a really pleasant walk, packed with history and plenty of unique photo spots including a full wide view of The Avenue.
