Stellisee is an alpine lake above Zermatt in the Blauherd area, on the route known as the Five Lakes Walk. It is especially recognizable for the Matterhorn’s reflection: in calm weather, the mountain’s sharp outline appears in the water beside the silhouettes of larches along the shore. The surrounding grass and rock keep the foreground spare, while the larches add a vivid touch of gold in autumn.
