📍 From Back, Thailand
The striking 22-meter tall Statue of the Goddess Guanyin is flanked by residences of local fishermen. It is perched atop a small rocky hill overlooking the picturesque Bang Tao Bay in Bo Put, Thailand. The fantastical figure is an homage to the goddess of mercy and compassion, in a region that has seen its fair share of tragedy due to natural disasters.
The statue is a magnificent sight during the day — pink and golden hues adorning its unique design. But its greatest charm lies at night, when it is illuminated from every angle by a multitude of twinkling lights, making for a magical and unforgettable view. Visitors are encouraged to take a stroll through the fishing village below and explore the beaches. Bo Put is also known for its flocks of migratory birds, which make the beach a great site for birdwatchers. Take time to appreciate the intricate carvings and statues in the nearby temples, and devour some delicious street food. There's plenty of nature to explore and capture, so don't forget your camera!
