The beautiful Statua del David e Palazzo Vecchio (Palace of the Old) are located in the heart of Florence, Italy. The magnificent statue of Michelangelo's David stands outside the palace walls, with its large, muscular frame imposingly gazing towards the sky. The Palazzo Vecchio is a great example of a Renaissance-style palace, with crenellations, grand interiors and statues scattered around the grounds. It contains the town hall, the library, the galleries and the ancient armories. You should visit the Salone dei Cinquecento, the 500 hall of the palace, with its incredible frescoes, and you definitely shouldn't miss the secret corridor (Sala Delle Udienze Segrete), which contains hidden passages. There are also several festivals, exhibitions and events held in the Palazzo Vecchio which are exciting and well worth attending!
