The State Historical Museum in Moscow is an incredible building with an expansive collection of artefacts from Russian Culture and History. You can explore everything from skulls owned by Peter the Great to giant matryoshka dolls and many other items. There are guided tours with audio headsets in place to give you a deep dive into the times and stories behind the items. The collection is also available to view if you wish to explore the museum alone. For a heightened experience, visitors can also watch films and educational animations at the Museum's "Light Cube" cinema. Entrance to the museum is free of charge but there is an audioguide fee of 350 rubles.
