Known locally as the Old Well in the Otvazhnoye forest, this modest site lies in woodland near Vladimirovka. Rather than a formal monument, it is a surviving trace of everyday rural life, when wells shaped settlement patterns and daily routines. Its strongest visual quality is the contrast between the well’s simple, human-made geometry and the irregular trunks, roots, leaf litter, and undergrowth around it. Changing foliage, snow, and filtered forest light can alter the scene dramatically, while close views emphasize weathered surfaces and the sense of nature gradually reclaiming the structure.
