Staithes Port, in Staithes, United Kingdom, is a tiny fishing village set in a steep-sided fjord on the North Sea coast of Yorkshire. With its magnificent costal seclusion, it offers a remarkable picture postcard scene. Despite being located within a fjord, Staithes boasts two beaches - one of which is the smaller, sheltered Wain Wyke Strand beach - both of which are located in the village's harbour which includes what remains of the traditional fishing port. From the harbour the views across the estuary to the cliff-lined hills of the North York Moors National Park make stunning photographs. There are a number of quirky pubs and cafes and the cobbled narrow lanes surrounding the harbour are home to quaint old-fashioned cottages and a Grade II listed wooden pier. The village also features impressive ruins of a fortified manor nicknamed the 'Fort of Staithes', which provide a great point for birdwatching too.
