Stadhuis de Hautefort and Château de Hautefort are two of the most important monuments in Hautefort, France. Located in the Hautefort commune of the Dordogne department, both monuments are extremely picturesque and worth a visit.

The town of Hautefort was the family home of one of Dordogne’s most prominent families—the La Rochefoucaulds. The Stadhuis de Hautefort is the former City Hall of the commune, a beautiful example of 18th-century architecture, interior design, and furniture. The Château is a beautiful 17th-century French castle, nestled in an expanse of parkland and surrounded by a lake. Much of the castle has been preserved, allowing visitors to experience what it was like to live in a castle in the past. Take a wander through the past when visiting Hautefort. With its striking monuments and breathtaking parks, Hautefort is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts.
