St Paul's Cathedral, located in L-Imdina, Malta is a giant Baroque-style cathedral located in the Citadel of Mdina. It is a popular attraction and the biggest church in the country. Built in the late 17th century, the church is renowned for its intricate facade and unique design which stands out from the traditional architecture of neighbouring Gozo. Inside, St Paul's Cathedral is even more imposing with huge arches, an alter painting, stained-glass windows, gold and marble elements in decoration. It is possible to climb the intricate staircase leading to a viewing platform at the top of the dome for great views of Mdina and beyond. There are also two museums, the Cathedral Museum and the Cathedral Treasury Museum, detailing the history and magnificent artifacts of the church and memorable to explore. It's a destination not to be missed for visitors and photographers who will appreciate its beauty, grandeur and peaceful atmosphere.
