📍 From Outside, Germany
St. Nicolai Church is a beautiful Gothic building located in the heart of Hameln, Germany. Constructed in 1310, it is said to have been connected to the Pied Piper from the Brothers Grimm's fairytale. According to legend, the Pied Piper's instrument was so powerful that it made the walls of St. Nicolai Church tremble and shatter. The church has since been renovated, but remains just as fascinating for visitors today. Inside you will find a Gothic altar and the High Altar dating from 1520. There is an ornate pulpit and an old organ near the entrance. The vault and choir aisles are decorated with beautiful frescoes. You can visit the church as part of your exploration of the historic and picturesque city of Hameln. Climb the steps up to the graveyard if you want a better view.
