
St. Michael's and All Angels Church in Sandakan, Malaysia is an iconic landmark that is definitely worth a visit. Established in 1875, it is one of the oldest churches in Sabah and is held in high regard by the locals. The church is a distinctly Victorian Gothic style building, with intricate details and stained-glass windows that can be seen from the street. It features a large solid bell with hammered edges and a roof in an unusual octagonal shape. It also has a small garden, surrounded by a low granite wall with multiple columns, where locals often come to sit and admire the view. It is definitely a great spot to explore and take in the old-world charm, peace and tranquility of the place.
