St. Coloman Church is an eye-catching Romanesque church situated in the village center of Schwangau, Germany. The original building dates back to the 11th Century and the architectural style is mainly Romanesque and Gothic. It contains an attractive bell tower, beautiful stained glass windows and an interesting crypt beneath the altar. Inside the church are several priceless 12th Century frescoes. The church is located on the edge of Schwangau near the entrance to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle. Visitors can admire the ancient walls and distinct architecture from the nearby grassy hill. There is a nearby restaurant and café with a charming courtyard and spectacular views of the church and surrounding landscape.
