
St. Andrews Catholic Church is a historic church located in Pasadena, California United States. The original structure was constructed in 1891 and has since then been known as "Mother Church of the San Gabriel Valley." The church is known for its grand appearances; the floor plan mimics that of a classic basilica. Inside the church, the ceilings are decorated with intricate, painted murals depicting biblical scenes. The ceiling is artistically painted in hues of blue and gold and embellished with angels. Outside, the entire facade of the church is wrapped in tile in shades of red and tan. Visitors can explore the nearby precinct to discover the historic Sunken Gardens and view the Art Deco structures of the nearby buildings. St. Andrews is an ideal place to appreciate the beauty of classical architecture.
