St Aignan Church is a magnificent example of French Romanesque architecture in Saint-Aignan, France. Built in the 12th century as an Abbey, the Church is now a popular tourist attraction due to its stunning limestone facade and its memorable twin spires. In the south transept of the Church, there is an impressive 15th century mural that depicts the Virgin Mary, and the late gothic stained glass artwork that still adorn its windows make it a must-visit destination. Many visitors also go here to take some time to appreciate the silent beauty of its surroundings. In the nearby quayside, it is possible to enjoy excellent views of the Church and the surrounding countryside. There are also many souvenir shops nearby for visitors to pick up some keepsakes of their visit.
