Spiaggia di Boccadasse is the small pebble beach of Boccadasse, Genoa’s historic fishing quarter at the eastern end of the Corso Italia seafront promenade. The cove sits directly below closely packed, pastel-colored houses, giving this former fishing village a distinct identity within the surrounding city. Boats drawn up near the water reflect its maritime roots, while narrow lanes climb inland between the buildings. The church of Sant’Antonio di Padova overlooks the shore from above. Seen from the beach, the curved waterline and layered façades reveal how tightly the settlement gathers around its landing place, with rounded pebbles, weathered walls and soft house colors providing the scene’s characteristic textures.
