Sparta Stadion is a multi-functional stadium located in the North of Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is the home ground of the football team Sparta Rotterdam and occasionally hosts other events such as concerts and exhibitions. The stadium has a capacity of of 11,000 people and it was initially built in 1916. It has seen several renovations over the years, the last one completed in 2006. The roof of the stadium is unique, as it consists of 4 moveable panels making it the only stadium of its kind in the Netherlands. The stadium offers guided tours of the premises, the club museum can also be visited and souvenirs bought at the onsite shop. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around, as well as public transportation to get to the stadium.
