Španjolski trg - Spain Square - is an interesting cultural destination in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. Located in the historical center of the city, the square is the home of several important religious sites. It's the location of Kuvac Mosque, St. Peter and Paul Church, great covered market and several Jewish synagogues. The square was once the site of a Jewish synagogue which was destroyed during WWII. The city has been built using the traditional Ottoman architectural style, and the square is full of caravansers. Visitors can experience the unique atmosphere of this city that's been talked about by writers and photographers for centuries. There are fascinating shops, a great bazaar and plenty of interesting sights. While in the square, do not forget to visit the local snack bars and cafes which offer traditional Bosnian cuisine.
