
Spaceship Earth is a 180-foot-tall geodesic sphere located at Epcot, a theme park within the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, United States. It is the icon of the park. Designed by Dickona, the dome is clad in 11,324 aluminum and plastic insulated panels resembling shapes of countries. Inside, the attraction a time machine is narrated by Dame Judi Dench and takes guests on a 15-minute tour of the world and its history from prehistory to the present day. The experience uses advanced animatronics and multi-channel audio technology to tell the story and features James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, and Walter Cronkite as narrators. After entering a time machine, the ride follows five epochs of human innovation and concludes with a glimpse of a hopeful future. The exterior of Spaceship Earth serves as a backdrop for several Epcot fireworks shows. It is also used as the park's logo.
