The Space Needle in Seattle, USA is an iconic landmark. Built for the 1962 World's Fair, the 605 ft tall tower stands at the heart of the city. It offers an observation deck with amazing views of the skyline, Elliott Bay, Mount Rainier, and the Cascade and Olympic mountains. There is also glass-fronted, rotating SkyCity restaurant available for dining. Visitors have access to the Skypad, a hands on digital experience that teaches the history of local Seattle landmarks. There are also plenty of shops to check out. The Space Needle also plays a prominent role in Seattle's night scene with its stunning light show, which is free and runs after sunset.
