
Southport Pier is a cheerful attraction located in Southport, Merseyside, England, UK. It is 918 metres long, the second-longest in Britain, and one of the most popular tourist attractions of the region. Boasting wonderful views of the coastlines, the pier even has it's own pavilion and trains running along it at regular intervals, for the added experience. Visitors can also engage in a lot of activities like swimming, cycling, mini-golf, clay pigeon shooting, etc. There is an entry fee required for the trains though. If you're an avid bird watcher then you'll be pleased to know that this pier is also home to many migratory birds. So don't forget to pack your binoculars.
