Southport Pier is one of the longest and oldest piers in England. It is located in Merseyside, United Kingdom, along the Marine Lake and close to the historic town of Southport. The pier is full of activities and attractions, from boat trips to fishing, from wildlife watching to watching the sunset. The pier also features an impressive lighthouse and viewing tower on the north side. Visitors can take a stroll along the pier or enjoy a nice jog, as it consists of a long, flat walkway providing views of the sea and coastline. The pier also has several souvenir shops, a cafe and bar, as well as a playground for children and a model railway. In addition, visitors will find plenty of benches and interesting sculptures scattered throughout the pier.
